The Kia Seltos has become one of the most popular compact SUVs in Costa Rica thanks to its interior space, reasonable fuel economy, and Kia's nationwide service network. With 63 units available right now, there is real room to compare year, mileage, trim, and price before making a decision.
What the price range actually means
The gap between $20,278 and ₡12,600,000 reflects the fact that some dealers price in US dollars and others in Costa Rican colones, on top of normal variation by model year, trim level (LX, EX, SX), mileage, and overall condition. Before comparing two listings, always confirm the exact currency the price is quoted in to avoid confusion.
What to check before buying a used Seltos
- Maintenance history and actual mileage relative to the vehicle's year.
- Transmission condition, especially on automatic trims.
- Paperwork status: marchamo, technical inspection (RTV), and clean title transfer.
- A real test drive on both highway and city roads to check suspension and noise.
- Comparing the same year and trim across several of the 63 active listings before negotiating.
With 63 units currently available, there is no reason to settle for the first listing you see. Filtering by year and trim within the inventory lets you narrow the search to exactly what you need, whether that is an entry-level city Seltos or a top trim for mixed highway and city use.
Why comparing matters
Costa Rica's used car market moves fast: units enter and leave inventory every week. Any price or availability figure should be read with the check date in mind, in this case October 5, 2026. Reviewing live inventory before visiting a dealership saves time and gives you real leverage when negotiating.
If the Seltos does not end up being the final choice, it is also worth comparing other compact used SUVs on the same platform to get a broader view of Costa Rica pricing.
