In Panama, where urban traffic and narrow streets in areas like Panama City and David are part of daily driving, this kind of small SUV has become increasingly popular compared to traditional sedans.

What to check before buying a used Kia Sonet

Buying a used car in Panama always calls for careful inspection, regardless of brand or model. Before closing on a used Kia Sonet, it is worth checking the following:

• Actual mileage compared to the vehicle year, to rule out odometer tampering.
• Maintenance history, especially oil changes and transmission service records.
• Body condition and any signs of accident repair or recent paint work.
• Clean paperwork, including a clear title transfer with no outstanding liens.
• A test drive on both highway and city streets to evaluate suspension and brakes.

These checks apply to any used subcompact SUV, but they matter especially with a relatively newer model like the Sonet, where onboard tech such as screens, sensors, and cameras should also be fully functional.
